Bijou is the creator of Bijou Writes Literary Universes, a storytelling studio dedicated to crafting immersive literary worlds that explore the complexity of identity, justice, faith, family, healing, and the unseen experiences that shape who we become. Drawing inspiration from her Choctaw and Creole heritage, she writes stories rooted in resilience, legacy, and the enduring power of the narratives passed from one generation to the next.

Blending literary fiction, memoir, poetry, and social commentary, Bijou creates emotionally layered works that challenge readers to look beyond assumptions and recognize the humanity within every story. Her writing explores the spaces where perception and reality collide, giving voice to individuals whose lives are too often misunderstood, overlooked, or defined by labels before their stories are ever heard.

As the creator of Bijou Writes Literary Universes, she is building an expanding collection of interconnected worlds, each centered on a different dimension of the human experience. Together, these literary universes invite readers to wrestle with questions of identity, generational healing, justice, faith, redemption, hope, and belonging—encouraging meaningful conversations that continue long after the final page.

A lifelong student of people, systems, and human behavior, Bijou approaches storytelling with both analytical precision and emotional depth. Her professional experience in strategy and organizational leadership informs the structure of her narratives, while her passion for literature ensures that every story remains deeply personal, emotionally authentic, and profoundly human.

She believes the most transformative stories do more than entertain—they create understanding.

Through Bijou Writes Literary Universes, her mission is to create timeless works that preserve legacy, inspire empathy, encourage healing, and remind readers that every person deserves to be fully seen before they are judged.
